William Bradley is Professor of anthropology and education in the Faculty of Intercultural Studies, Department of Global Studies, at Ryukoku University in Kyoto, Japan, where he is starting his 30th year. He has served in a variety of positions including Dean of the International Center (2007-2009), Head of the Global Studies Department (2017-1019).
His publications include two co-edited books, Education and the Risk Society (2012, Sense Publishers) and Multiculturalism and Conflict Reconciliation in the Asia Pacific (2014, PalgraveMacmillan), as well as articles and book chapters on the sociology of risk, multiculturalism, Japanese higher education, and critical intercultural communication, His most recent publication (2025), is “Culturalism in Comparative Education: Is it possible to both for and against?”
