Julian Chapple received his Ph.D. in International Relations from Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand). He was an exchange student, taught in junior and senior high school in Japan, taught at university in New Zealand and worked at research institutes in Shiga and Tokyo before coming to Ryukoku University in 2005. His research interests cover topic such as education, communication, discrimination and immigration.
