My research focuses on East Asian archaeology and the history of cultural exchange in East Asia. Specifically, I am researching the formation process of ancient nations in East Asia, the Gishiwajinden text, and Buddhist art based on actual historical materials such as archaeological remains and artifacts. I have been also engaged in projects to preserve and utilize cultural heritages. I endeavor to convey the results of my research and experiences to students in order to develop international talents who can play active roles in East Asian regional cultural research and mutual exchange.
