As globalization began at the end of the 20th century and has further accelerated in the 21st century, the flow of people and information has been expanding beyond the borders of languages and nations. In order to live in such an era, we need to identify global and local issues. To achieve this, it is necessary, in both theory and practice, to examine these issues from multifaceted perspectives, deepen one's own ideas through dialogue and interaction with people who have different views, present solutions, and persuade those involved. In light of this, we have established the Graduate School of International Studies based on the achievements of the Graduate School of Intercultural Communication.
The Graduate School aims to develop highly specialized professionals, practitioners and researchers who, based on the university’s founding principles, can tackle various issues and phenomena facing today’s international community in the midst of the accelerated progress of globalization with a critical spirit, and who can play a leading and active role on the international stage to create a multicultural society.
