Graduate School of International Studies

Overview of the Graduate School

As globalization began at the end of the 20th century and has further accelerated in the 21st century, the flow of people and information has been expanding beyond the borders of languages and nations. In order to live in such an era, we need to identify global and local issues. To achieve this, it is necessary, in both theory and practice, to examine these issues from multifaceted perspectives, deepen one's own ideas through dialogue and interaction with people who have different views, present solutions, and persuade those involved. In light of this, we have established the Graduate School of International Studies based on the achievements of the Graduate School of Intercultural Communication.

Meanwhile, there is no end to the chain of hatred and the outbreak of conflicts stemming from ethnic, religious, political and social discord. Under such circumstances, we see on a daily basis the occurrence of various phenomena that have not been captured by conventional studies.
