Educational Philosophy and Purpose

Based on our founding principles, in an accelerating era of globalization, the Graduate School critically faces the various challenges facing the current international community, with the aim of realizing a world in which diverse cultures can coexist. The graduate school aims to train advanced professionals, practitioners and researchers who can take the lead on the international stage.


Master program

Intercultural Communication

To critically consider various issues confronting the modern world in which cultural and economic interdependence are more and more marked; to explore solutions through expertise and foreign language ability; to develop the ability to transmit the knowledge they obtain as highly specialized professionals, practitioners, and researchers.

Global Studies

To comprehensively and critically understand the various problems of the increasingly globalized international community; to explore solutions to these problems by exercising advanced professional knowledge and foreign language ability; to develop the ability to transmit the knowledge they obtain as highly specialized professionals, practitioners, and researchers.

Language and Communication

To acquire outstanding expertise and skills through autonomous and interactive learning undertaken with an awareness of the significance of language and communication in an increasingly globalized world; to exhibit leadership through high levels of language ability and rhetorical ability; to cultivate advanced professionals, practitioners and researchers who can contribute to intercultural understanding.


Doctoral program

Intercultural Communication

This program aims to train research with high foreign language and expert skills who will be able to analyze and present internationally culturally focused research regarding the new phenomena and challenges that our increasingly interconnected world faces. Eventually, successful graduates will be able to contribute to the formation of multicultural societies as professionals or researches.

Global Studies

To comprehensively and critically understand various problems of the increasingly globalized international community; to demonstrate advanced professional knowledge and foreign language ability; to cultivate professionals and researchers to contribute to the creation of affluent societies.
