Doctoral program Intercultural Communication

This program aims to train research with high foreign language and expert skills who will be able to analyze and present internationally culturally focused research regarding the new phenomena and challenges that our increasingly interconnected world faces. Eventually, successful graduates will be able to contribute to the formation of multicultural societies as professionals or researches.

Program characteristics

  • Seminars will serve students not only to deepen their knowledge in the specific field of research but will provide them with complex insights from different disciplines to their research them and thus allowing them to devote themselves to wide-ranging academic studies.
  • Students will present their research on various research meetings and conferences held in and outside of the graduate school what will nurture the necessary skills for becoming independent researchers in the future.
  • This course will train students to be able to explore problems that have not been elucidated by the previous studies yet, as well as to be able to provide unique views in terms of methodology and approach to the research.
  • Starting with the seminar class in the first year, students receive guidance from a principal and deputy supervisor, acquiring advanced knowledge and analytical skills related to their research themes, culminating in the production of a Doctoral thesis.
